Get a symmetrical mousepad
Yes.
Ergonomic rectangular pads with a wrist rest or angled cutout are designed for right hands. Using one left-handed means the wrist rest hits your forearm wrong or the curve is backward. A square or circular pad gives nothing to fight. Your hand sits where it wants, and you move the mouse naturally.
Some people swear by the “left-handed ergonomic” pads, but those are rare and expensive. A quality symmetrical pad costs less, lasts just as long, and doesn’t force you into someone else’s geometry.
If you really need a wrist rest, get a separate gel pad that you can place wherever it makes sense. That’s cheaper and more adjustable than hunting for the perfect left-handed mousepad.
