Get a Yeti Tundra — or any cooler with rubber feet and tie-downs.

Yes, a Yeti Tundra is your best bet. But the real answer is any heavy-duty roto-molded cooler that has integrated tie-down loops and thick rubber feet.

The sliding problem is mostly solved by two things: weight and grip. A Yeti Tundra is heavy empty and heavier full, plus its rubber feet are aggressive enough to stay put on most boat decks. You still want to strap it down—waves happen—but it won’t creep around in normal chop.

If Yeti is out of budget, look at RTIC or Pelican. They both make coolers with similar feet and tie-down hardware for half the price. The important spec is the feet: they should be thick rubber with deep treads, not little nubs.

And honestly, don’t get a soft cooler for a boat. They slide, they tip, and they don’t insulate as well in direct sun. Hard-sided, roto-molded, with real tie-down points. That’s the formula.

Skip the $30 Coleman unless you want to chase it across the deck.
