Get a zip-around planner folio
The neatest way is to stop carrying them loose and put everything in one zip-around folio that fits around your planner.
Look for a folio made for your planner size — A5 is the most common. It zips all the way around, so the planner stays protected and nothing slides out. Inside you’ll get pen loops, card slots, and a few flat pockets for sticky notes, washi tape, or loose papers. Pencils, highlighters, and other small supplies live in those loops and pockets, so you don’t need a separate pencil pouch at all.
If you already own a pencil pouch you love, you can still make this work: get a larger zip pouch or a folio with a little extra depth, and slide both the planner and the pouch inside. The rule is one container for the whole kit. That way you grab one thing from your backpack, and you’re done.
