Get the Monbento if you actually want adjustable sections
The Monbento MB Original is the best bento box with removable dividers because it gives you real flexibility without the leaky, flimsy nonsense.
Most bento boxes have fake dividers — molded plastic walls you can’t move, or silicone cups that don’t quite fit. The Monbento is different. Each tier comes with a removable divider that clicks into place, so you can turn the top half into one big space for a sandwich or two smaller ones for rice and a main. Stack two tiers and you’ve got three or four adjustable sections, depending on your mood.
One thing to know: it’s not a huge box. If you’ve got a massive appetite, you might need backup snacks. But for a normal work lunch, it’s plenty. It’s also surprisingly leakproof — the seal holds up in a bag, which is where cheap brands usually fall apart.
On a budget, the Sistema Bento does a decent job for a fraction of the price. It’s bigger and easier to microwave, but the build quality doesn’t compare. If you want the right tool the first time, go Monbento.
Buy once, eat well.
