Get the Monbento if you hate digging for cutlery

If you want a lunch box with a fork and spoon actually built in, the Monbento MB Original is the best I’ve found.

The top lid has a dedicated slot that holds the matching fork and spoon snugly. No separate pouch, no digging around the bottom of your bag. It’s also genuinely leakproof if you pack wet stuff like yogurt or soup. I’ve dropped it, rattled it around in a backpack, and nothing leaked.

The main trade-off is capacity. It’s more bento-style, with two stacked tiers, so you’re not packing a massive sandwich and sides. If you need bigger portions, look at the Bentgo All-in-One — it has a built-in utensil compartment on top and more room inside. For kids, the Bentgo Kids series snaps the fork and spoon right into the tray, which is basically indestructible. And if you’re on a budget, Sistema Bento boxes have a lid slot for utensils, though you have to buy the fork/spoon set separately.

If you want the thing just to work out of the box, Monbento is the one. It’s not the cheapest, but it’s the rare lunch box that doesn’t make you sacrifice the cutlery.
