Get the Roomba j7 for pet waste avoidance

The Roomba j7 is the safer bet.

Both robots claim to avoid pet waste using AI object detection, but iRobot actually backs it up with a Pet Waste Guarantee: if the j7 runs over poop, they’ll replace it for free. That’s real confidence in their system. Samsung’s Bespoke Jet Bot AI+ also has object avoidance, but it’s newer and I haven’t seen the same level of real-world testing for this specific nightmare scenario.

If you’ve got a dog that sometimes misses the pad, don’t gamble. The j7’s camera and software have been tuned specifically to avoid this kind of disaster since launch, and the guarantee means you’re not out six hundred bucks if it fails. Samsung’s AI is impressive for general obstacles, but pet waste is a high-stakes game.
