Use a soft sponge or your fingers. Rub gently in circles. Rinse thoroughly under cold water until no soap comes out. Let it air dry flat—don’t wring it or put it in the dryer. That keeps the edges from warping and the surface from stiffening.
If it’s really greasy or stained, a drop of laundry detergent (not bleach) works fine. Just rinse extra well. Heat and harsh chemicals are the enemy of white cloth. Cold water and patience are your friends.
