Hire a coach if you want your resolution to last
A coach is the most effective accountability structure for resolutions past 30 days.
Buddies are fine for the first month. But eventually they get busy, forget to check in, or feel awkward calling you out. Groups keep things social but momentum usually fades once the initial hype wears off — and nobody wants to be the one admitting failure in a group chat. Apps are the weakest link. They remind you, but they don’t care if you ignore them.
A coach, on the other hand, costs money and brings real consequences. You schedule a call, you show up, you report progress. They know your specific situation and will push when you’re making excuses. That external pressure and personal attention is what keeps things going after the novelty wears off.
The downside is price. But think of it as investing in the thing you said you wanted to do.
Future You will be fine with having spent the cash.
