Hybrid mousepads handle extreme temperatures better.

Yes. Cordura doesn’t warp or delaminate like standard cloth pads, and the rubber base keeps its grip across a wider range. In hot conditions, cloth pads can bubble or soften; hard plastic pads can become brittle in the cold. Cordura stays flat, and the rubber compound they use is usually spec’d for -20°C to 70°C or so — more than you’ll ever need.

The real edge case is humidity or sweat, not pure temperature. But if you’re taking a mousepad to a lan party in a freezing garage or a summer gaming tent, a hybrid Cordura pad won’t let you down. A single-material cloth pad might.

Don’t overthink this. Just get a Cordura hybrid if your environment is weird. You’ll be fine.
