Hydrating sheet masks, not clay, for winter. Use them twice a week max.
For winter, stick with hydrating sheet masks or cream masks and go easy on the clay—clay can suck the life out of already dry winter skin.
Your skin is fighting low humidity, indoor heat, and cold wind. Clay masks (kaolin, bentonite) are designed to absorb oil. In winter, you don’t have much oil to absorb. You’ll just strip your moisture barrier and end up tight, flaky, or irritated.
Sheet masks soaked in humectants (hyaluronic acid, glycerin, aloe) are the move. They dump water back into your skin without stripping anything. Cream masks with ceramides or shea butter are good too if you like a rinse-off option.
