Roborock and Roomba are rival brands, not the same company

Roborock and Roomba compete head-to-head but come from different countries entirely. Roomba is made by iRobot, an American company founded in 1990, while Roborock is a Chinese robotics company that started in 2014. Both make excellent robot vacuums, but their technology approaches differ — Roborock leans heavily on LiDAR navigation, while Roomba relies on camera-based visual SLAM.
