Isopropyl alcohol won't ruin most microfiber mousepads.
Usually fine. The microfiber fabric itself (typically polyester and nylon) is resistant to isopropanol. A quick wipe with 70% or higher won’t melt the fibers or strip the color.
The risk is with the surface coating. Some mousepads have a smooth glide layer or printed graphics. Alcohol can gradually break those down, especially if you scrub hard or soak the pad. Cheap unbranded pads with logos tend to bleed or peel faster.
If you just need to disinfect or remove oil, use a damp cloth with a drop of dish soap instead. Gentler on the coating, same result.
For a pure, uncoated cloth pad? Go ahead.
