It probably supports 32GB, but check the QVL.
Yes, almost any motherboard from the last decade handles 32GB fine, but the QVL (Qualified Vendor List) is your safety net. Manufacturers test specific RAM kits—if yours is on the list, you’re golden. If not, it’ll probably still work, but you might have to tweak settings or deal with instability.
The QVL isn’t a hard requirement, just a list of kits they bothered to test. Most untested kits work. The problem is when they don’t—then you’re stuck troubleshooting voltage or timings. I have seen people buy perfectly good RAM that just refused to POST on a particular board. Checking the QVL takes five minutes and saves that headache.
To find your board’s QVL: google the model name + “QVL” or look on the support page under “Memory / Compatibility.” Download the PDF, find DDR4 or DDR5 (whichever yours uses), and check for 2x16GB kits. Don’t overthink it—if a similar spec kit is listed, you’re fine.
Bottom line: Your board can run 32GB, but the QVL is the cheap insurance.
