It's risky to connect two extension cords for a leaf blower.

You can do it, but you’re asking for trouble. The biggest risks: voltage drop kills performance, cords overheat, and the connection point is a fire hazard.

A leaf blower pulls a decent amount of current. At 150 feet, even a 12-gauge cord will have some voltage drop. If you’re using two 50-foot cords (not enough) or two 75-foot cords of thinner gauge, your blower will run weak and the cords will get hot. Heat + daisy-chained connections = melted insulation or worse.

If you absolutely must reach that far, use a single, continuous 12-gauge or 10-gauge cord rated for 150+ feet. Buy the right length instead of cobbling together two shorter ones. Also, make sure the blower’s plug is the grounded type and your cords are outdoor-rated.

Your leaf blower will run better and your house won’t burn down. Spend the money on a proper cord.
