Just enable XMP/EXPO in BIOS – it’s that simple.

Go into your BIOS, find the memory overclocking setting (it’s called XMP on Intel, EXPO on AMD), flip it to the profile for your kit’s rated speed, save, and reboot. Done.

If you’ve never done it: restart your PC, mash the Del or F2 key during boot to enter BIOS. Then look for something like “AI Tweaker” (Asus), “Extreme Memory Profile” (most boards), or “EXPO” (AM5 boards). Pick Profile 1, hit F10 to save and exit, and you’re running at the advertised 6000 MT/s or whatever your kit says.

Don’t worry about “voiding warranty” or damaging anything. This is a standard, manufacturer-supported setting. Worst case: the system fails to boot a few times, resets itself, and you try again. If you get crashes later, back it down one notch or increase voltage a tiny bit (but that’s rare).

One thing to watch: make sure your RAM is installed in the right slots (A2 and B2, usually the second and fourth from the CPU) before you bother with XMP. No setting will fix wrong slots.
