Just replace the mousepad.
No.
There’s no practical way to professionally resurface a mousepad. The glide comes from a thin surface coating or texture that wears down over time. You can’t reapply that at home, and no repair shop offers it because the cost would exceed a new pad.
Some people try washing, sanding, or spraying silicone. That might temporarily mask the issue, but it never restores original glide. At best you get a weird inconsistent feel; at worst you ruin the pad entirely.
A decent mousepad costs $15–$50 and lasts a couple years with regular use. That’s not a place to mess around. Just buy a new one.
Your wrist will thank you.
