Just rinse it in the shower.
Rinse it as soon as you get home, while the sand is still loose and the salt hasn’t dried into crystals.
Mesh bags are basically giant strainers. The sand falls right through if you spray them with a hose or shower head. Salt rinses away with fresh water. No soap needed. No scrubbing. Just shake it out first, then hose it down.
If you let the sand dry inside the mesh, you’ll be picking at it for days. Worse, salt can corrode the hardware or stiffen the fabric. A thirty-second rinse saves you that headache.
Don’t overthink it. Beach bag maintenance is a rinse-and-hang job, not a laundry science project.
