Keto lunches are a separation problem

Keto lunch packing is mostly about keeping wet fat sources away from anything that goes soggy, and building every meal around fat and protein first.

The core rule is simple: anything wet gets its own container. Dressing, avocado (hit it with lime juice first), sour cream, pickles in vinegar — all of it goes in a small ramekin or jar. Dry stuff stays dry until you’re ready to eat.

Your best traveling fats are the ones that don’t weep: hard-boiled eggs, cheese cubes, salami and pepperoni, olives, nuts, seeds. Throw those in a compartment container and you’re most of the way there. Nut butter works great too, just keep it in a tiny jar and spread it on celery or low-carb crackers at lunchtime.

The soggy trap is almost always lettuce. Stop making salads in the morning. If you want greens, do the mason jar thing: dressing at the bottom, then hard veg like cucumbers and bell peppers, then protein, then greens on top. Shake it onto a plate when it’s time to eat. Or skip the salad entirely and just eat a protein-and-fat plate — that’s honestly more keto anyway.
