Lands' End makes the best tankinis for coverage.
Lands’ End. They’ve been doing this longer than most, and their tankinis actually cover your stomach without looking like a tent. The key is the “slender” or “long” torso options — most brands assume everyone has the same torso length, which is why tankinis ride up. Lands’ End solves that.
Their fabric is thick enough to smooth things out but not so thick you feel like you’re wearing a wetsuit. And they have actual cup sizes (not just S/M/L), so the top fits like a bra. If you want a little more coverage than a bikini but don’t want to wrestle a one-piece when you need to pee, this is the sweet spot.
The only downside: they’re not cheap (around $60-80). But cheaper tankinis from Amazon tend to sag after one season. Spend once, wear for three summers.
Future you on the beach doesn’t want to be tugging at her top all afternoon.
