The only catch: linen holds water and takes forever to dry. If you plan to swim and then walk around, you’ll feel damp for a while. But if you’re mostly lounging or grabbing lunch after the beach, they’re perfect.

I’d take an old pair you don’t mind getting sandy. Don’t wear your nice pressed ones unless you want sand in the cuffs for a week.
