Pitchfork called Anohni's voice a 'multi-octave siren' on I Am a Bird Now

Pitchfork’s Brandon Stosuy described Anohni’s voice as an “amazing Nina Simone/Bryan Ferry/Jimmy Scott vibrato, a multi-octave siren that would sound painfully lovely no matter what she was saying.” Hard to think of a better description for one of the most distinctive voices of the 2000s.
