How did the album’s writing credits work?
Seven of the nine songs were written by Bob Marley and two by Peter Tosh. Although Bunny Wailer is not credited as a writer, the group’s songwriting was a collaborative process. For the follow-up album Burnin’, also released in 1973, Bunny Wailer contributed four songs, demonstrating the collective creative nature of the band.
