How does ‘Naima’ differ from the rest of Giant Steps?

While most of Giant Steps was recorded in May 1959 with Tommy Flanagan, Paul Chambers, and Art Taylor, “Naima” was recorded separately in December 1959 with the Miles Davis Quintet rhythm section of Wynton Kelly, Paul Chambers, and Jimmy Cobb.
