How successful was Disintegration commercially and critically?

Disintegration became The Cure’s best-selling album, reaching number 3 in the UK and number 12 in the US. It produced hit singles including ‘Lovesong’ (which reached number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100), ‘Fascination Street,’ and ‘Pictures of You.’ The album is widely considered their masterpiece and was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame.
