How was Hounds of Love recorded?

The album was recorded over two years at Kate Bush’s newly built 48-track studio, situated in a barn next to her family home in East Wickham, Kent. Bush had the studio built to have complete creative freedom and called it “the best decision I ever made.” She worked with engineers including Del Palmer, Haydn Bendall, and James Guthrie.
