Hiroshi Yoshimura recorded Music for Nine Post Cards on a simple keyboard and Fender Rhodes at home.

Yoshimura made the whole album at home with a stripped-down setup — just a keyboard and a Fender Rhodes. He said he was inspired by clouds, shade, rain, and snow. The minimal gear matched the minimalist vision perfectly.
