How was ‘Rock and Roll’ from Led Zeppelin IV created?

Rock and Roll emerged from a spontaneous jam session at Headley Grange. Drummer John Bonham began playing the intro to Little Richard’s ‘Keep A-Knockin’’ and the band joined in. Jimmy Page said the song developed from the freedom of working together without time constraints, never knowing what was around the corner.
