Visions was recorded entirely on Apple’s GarageBand in Grimes’ Montreal apartment over three weeks in August 2011, using just a Roland Juno-G keyboard, vocal pedals, and a sampler. Three weeks, one laptop — about as DIY as a breakthrough album gets.
