Stevie Ray Vaughan's 'Texas Flood' is a cover of a 1958 Larry Davis song

The title track of SRV’s debut wasn’t his own — it was first cut by blues singer Larry Davis back in 1958. SRV and Double Trouble produced the album themselves with engineer Richard Mullen, and they made the song so completely their own that most people probably don’t realize it’s a cover.
