Yes. The last three tracks on the album — “I Would Die 4 U”, “Baby I’m a Star”, and the title track “Purple Rain” — were recorded live at First Avenue nightclub in Minneapolis on August 3, 1983. These were Prince’s first officially released live recordings, though overdubs and edits were added afterward in the studio.
