Alva Noto — the alias of Carsten Nicolai — is a pioneer of minimalist glitch aesthetics. He co-founded the Raster-Noton label and has collaborated with Ryuichi Sakamoto, Ryoji Ikeda (as Cyclo.), and Blixa Bargeld.
