Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 is the 'Choral' symphony

Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 in D minor, Op. 125, is commonly called the “Choral” symphony. The nickname comes from its final movement, where a full choir and vocal soloists sing Schiller’s “Ode to Joy.”
