What is ‘Boulder to Birmingham’ about?

Harris co-wrote ‘Boulder to Birmingham’ with Bill Danoff as a response to the death of her mentor Gram Parsons, who had died in 1973. The song references their first gig together at the Edison Electric Company in Boulder, Colorado.
