Mimi Parker’s drumming was central to Low’s sound — she played with extraordinary restraint, often using brushes and emphasizing negative space. Her vocal harmonies with Sparhawk were equally distinctive, creating an intimate, almost devotional quality. Parker was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2020 and died in November 2022.
