What was Bob Dylan’s creative approach during these sessions?
Dylan was famous for keeping the musicians on their toes. He would present songs as loose sketches and constantly revise lyrics, sometimes recording take after take as the band struggled to follow his direction. Kooper later recalled that the best takes often came when the musicians thought they were merely rehearsing.
