Who produced Exile on Main St. and what was the recording process like?
Jimmy Miller produced the album, though the Nellcôte sessions were famously loose and unorganized, going on for hours into the night with personnel varying greatly from day to day. Additional musicians included pianist Nicky Hopkins, saxophonist Bobby Keys, and horn player Jim Price. Recording was completed with overdubs at Sunset Sound in Los Angeles in early 1972.
