Who produced Nevermind, and who mixed it?

The album was produced by Butch Vig, who had previously worked with the band on demos at his Smart Studios in Madison, Wisconsin. The final mix was handled by Andy Wallace, whose polished mixing gave the record a radio-friendly sheen that some critics initially found at odds with the band’s underground ethos.
