Who sang ‘Have a Cigar’ on Wish You Were Here and why?

Roy Harper, a folk singer and friend of the band, sang lead vocals on ‘Have a Cigar’ because Roger Waters felt he couldn’t capture the right tone of a sleazy music industry executive. Harper was recording his own album at Abbey Road at the time and agreed to the session.
