Look for color-blocking and a V-neck.
The trick is to draw attention upward and visually widen your shoulders to balance your hips.
For a pear shape, you want a top half that has more going on — think V-necks, halter straps, or even ruffles or patterns on top. The bottom of the suit should be solid, dark, or minimally detailed. Color-block suits where the top is light or printed and the bottom is black or navy work perfectly.
High-cut leg openings are your friend. They elongate your legs and break up the hip line, which is more flattering than a straight, full-coverage cut. Side cutouts or a belt at the waist can also create an hourglass illusion without adding bulk.
Don’t shy away from support in the bust either. A structured top will help balance your proportions even more.
The goal isn’t to hide your hips — it’s to make your whole silhouette feel intentional.
