M1 MacBook Air keyboard holds up well.
No widespread keyboard issues. Apple fixed the butterfly keyboard disaster with the Magic Keyboard, and the M1 Air uses that same reliable scissor-switch design. After years of use, most people report no problems.
That said, a few things can crop up: keycaps can loosen over time (easy to pop back on), and dust or crumbs can cause a sticky key or double typing. But that’s true for any laptop keyboard, not a Mac-specific flaw. Clean it occasionally and you’re fine.
You won’t find yourself in a keyboard recall nightmare like the 2016-2019 models. This one just works.
