M2 and M3 MacBook Air fast charge with a 67W adapter — MagSafe preferred.
Yes, you can fast charge the M2 and M3 MacBook Air models, but it requires the right adapter and cable. The M1 MacBook Air doesn’t support fast charging at all.
- MagSafe: Use Apple’s 67W or 70W USB-C power adapter with the MagSafe 3 cable. That gets you from 0 to 50% in about 30 minutes.
- USB-C: Same adapter works with a USB-C cable, but you need a cable that supports USB Power Delivery. Apple’s included USB-C cable is fine. MagSafe is more convenient and avoids wearing out the port.
The 30W or 35W dual-port adapters do not give you fast charging — they’ll charge but slower.
Don’t overthink it: the 67W adapter is the one to get if you care about speed. The M1 model is stuck at regular charging speeds no matter what you plug in.
