When Mick Jagger became a father for the eighth time in December 2016 at age 73, the birth of son Deveraux Octavian Basil Jagger made headlines less for the age gap (Melanie Hamrick was 29) and more for the sheer continuity of Jagger’s private life. Hamrick, a former American Ballet Theatre dancer and Texas native, had been dating Jagger since 2014, and their relationship quietly avoided the tabloid circus that surrounded his earlier partners.
