Mineral sunscreen wins for sensitive skin.
Mineral sunscreen. Chemical sunscreens absorb UV rays and convert them to heat, which can trigger irritation or stinging on sensitive skin. Mineral (zinc oxide, titanium dioxide) just sits on top and reflects the rays away – no chemical reaction, no heat, no drama.
The tradeoff is texture. Mineral formulas can feel thicker and leave a white cast, but newer micronized versions are better. If you have rosacea, eczema, or just easily irritated skin, don’t gamble with chemical filters. Stick to mineral.
Your face will thank you.
