More RAM helps, but it's a band-aid, not a fix.

Yes, 32GB can reduce stuttering from memory leaks, but only by delaying the inevitable. A memory leak means the game keeps grabbing RAM and never lets go. With 16GB, you might hit the wall in 30 minutes and start stuttering hard when Windows starts swapping to disk. With 32GB, that same leak might take two hours to cause problems. So if you play short sessions, you might never notice it.

But the underlying problem is still there. The game is broken. More RAM just buys you time before the stutter returns. If the leak is aggressive enough, even 64GB will eventually choke. And 32GB won’t help at all if the stuttering is from something else like shader compilation, CPU bottleneck, or poorly optimized asset streaming.

So: temporary relief, not a cure. If you already have 32GB for other reasons (video editing, heavy multitasking), great. But buying it just to fix a leaky game is a gamble.

The real fix is the developer patching the leak. But since that’s out of your hands, more RAM is a reasonable stopgap if you’re already planning an upgrade.
