Most MacBook Airs cannot reliably drive two external monitors.
Nope. Not natively. Apple’s M1, M2, and M3 MacBook Airs officially support only one external display. Plug in a second and it’s mirror or bust.
There is a workaround: DisplayLink adapters (from brands like Plugable or Startech). These use software to trick macOS into treating a USB port as a video output. It works, but it is not “reliable” in the way a MacBook Pro is. Expect occasional glitches, lag, and a slightly warm laptop. Also kills battery faster.
If you need two external monitors for real work, get a MacBook Pro or a Mac mini. If you really want to try the DisplayLink route, buy from somewhere with a good return policy. You’ll probably send it back.
