Niacinamide is one of the best ingredients for winter skincare because it directly tackles redness and barrier damage caused by cold weather.
Cold air strips your skin’s natural oils, weakening the moisture barrier. That lets irritants in and makes blood vessels more reactive — hence that red, blotchy look. Niacinamide (vitamin B3) strengthens the barrier by boosting ceramide production. It’s also anti-inflammatory, so it calms the redness without being harsh like some acids.
