No lunch box will fix a soggy sandwich
No lunch box will fix a soggy sandwich — the fix is how you pack it, not what you pack it in.
Tomatoes and cucumbers are basically water balloons. Put them on bread at 7 a.m. and they’ll soak into it by noon. The box can’t stop that. In fact, a sealed box makes it worse because the moisture has nowhere to go.
The real fix is boring but bulletproof: pack the wet stuff separately and assemble the sandwich when you’re ready to eat. A tiny container or silicone cup is all you need. Takes twenty seconds.
If you insist on pre-assembling, at least do the moves that slow the soaking: pat the slices dry with a paper towel first, and spread something fatty — mayo, butter, cream cheese — on both pieces of bread. Fat is waterproof. Toasting helps even more.
If you want a compartment box anyway, Bentgo, Monbento, and PlanetBox all make good ones. They’re fine. Just know the compartments are doing the work, not the box.
Separate the tomato and you win.
