No, you don't need to touch virtual memory.

Windows handles it automatically, and with 16GB of RAM, the default settings are fine. The system will expand the page file as needed, and most people never notice any difference.

Manually setting a fixed virtual memory size is an old trick from when computers had 256MB of RAM and you needed to squeeze every drop. With 16GB, you have enough headroom that the default “automatically manage” works perfectly. In fact, locking it too small can cause crashes if you overcommit, and making it too large just wastes disk space.

Unless you’re running multiple virtual machines or editing 8K video, leave it on auto. Windows isn’t stupid about this anymore.
