Not really, unless you have a hard desk and no wrist rest.
The difference between 3mm and 5mm is barely noticeable for wrist fatigue. What matters more is the material — a gel or foam pad will cushion your wrist regardless of thickness, while a hard plastic pad won’t.
Think of it this way: 2mm is the thickness of two credit cards stacked. You won’t feel that in your wrist unless you’re pressing down like you’re kneading dough. If you’re resting your entire forearm or using a wrist rest, the mousepad thickness becomes even less relevant.
If wrist fatigue is your concern, look for a pad with a plush surface or a dedicated gel wrist rest. Thickness alone won’t save you.
Save your money and buy a pad with a texture you like instead.
