One tracker for all Q1 goals. Stop overcomplicating.
One tracker is almost always better than splitting by domain.
The whole point of a habit tracker is to reduce friction, not add it. Every time you switch between a “fitness” tracker and a “work” tracker, you’re creating an extra decision. Should you open this app or that app? Where did that streak go? That overhead kills consistency.
I’ve tried both. Separate trackers feel neat on paper—“Oh, this is my work notebook, this is my gym app.” But in practice, you end up ignoring one because it’s easy to forget. A single list or grid keeps everything visible. No mental juggling.
If you’re worried about it being a jumbled mess, use categories or tags in one app (like Notion, Habitica, or even a plain spreadsheet). That gives you the separation for review without the friction of multiple systems.
The real question isn’t “which domain?” but “what’s the simplest thing I’ll actually keep up with?” That’s one tracker.
Don’t let the tool
